Test Scheduling for Network-On-Chip using Zigzag-Type Connected Subgraph Partition

The problem of contention for routers and links is one of the critical problems caused by the NoC (network-on-chip) reuse approach in testing NoC systems. In this paper, we propose zigzag connected subgraph partition approach to avoid the contention for routers and links in NoC testing. Then, a MMQEA (multi-population multi-nary quantum-inspired evolutionary algorithm) strategy, which incorporates multi-population and multi-nary techniques, is presented to solve the test scheduling problem for NoC. In addition, power constraint is taken into consideration. Experimental results for the ITC’02 benchmarks show that the new approach results in a reduction in test time, compared to previous work.
